The Professionalism Committee is committed to elevating and maintaining professionalism in appellate practice in the State of Texas. At this point our efforts are primarily directed at increasing awareness of the Standards for Appellate Conduct that were conceived and drafted by a committee of the Section, and were jointly adopted and promulgated by the Texas Supreme Court and the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals in 1999.
