The Rules Committee keeps the Council aware of proposed changes to the Texas Rules of Appellate Procedure, Texas Rules of Civil Procedure, Federal Rules of Appellate Procedure, the Fifth Circuit Rules, and other rules that may impact the practice of appellate law in Texas. The Committee intends to start a new initiative to coordinate with other bar organizations regarding the content of appellate rules in other jurisdictions and trends in rule changes.
