The Amicus Brief Committee provides an opportunity to seek Section support for granting review in the Texas Supreme Court. Once briefing on the merits has been requested, if your case presents an appellate procedural issue that remains undecided, requires further analysis by the Supreme Court, or concerns a conflict in the Courts of Appeals, file an application with the Committee. While the Section cannot take a position, in the right circumstances the Section may file a brief in support of granting review.
